Move quickly — without demolishing more than necessary.

Once the damaged roof was opened, the home became vulnerable to rain. The project had to advance quickly, but speed could not become an excuse for indiscriminate demolition. The existing siding, chimney and sound wall assemblies would remain.

The work required careful planning around updated building-code requirements, temporary protection and the integration of the new trusses with the retained structure.

The work was planned as a continuous path from selective demolition to dry-in. Damaged roof components were removed first, while salvageable exterior elements were protected and left in place. Replacement trusses were installed, aligned and braced as a complete package. Once the structural geometry was confirmed, plywood sheathing followed immediately, allowing building paper and temporary weather protection to close the home.
